Having babies when you're over 50 (whatever gender) is something I will never understand. It seems kind of selfish to me. I would hate to be in my late 60s/early 70s when my kid becomes an adult. I knew a girl whose father was 83 when she was 22. That's just weird to me.

I’m happy for him and the kid is sure to be gorgeous with two beautiful parents.
He didn’t mention the girlfriend when he made the announcement on the Jennifer Hudson show in the linked clip. Maybe he mentioned her later on in the segment. No “having a baby with the love of my life” type thing going on here. Only, “I thought that ship had sailed”.
