Why do people always make this distinction? No one recognizes hepophiles. R134 I do think there’s a difference (for me, anyway) in the WTF level of someone who sexually assaults a child of 0-12ish and someone who sexually assaults a teenager, I guess because one is sexually developing and one is not a sexual being at all yet. But aside from viewing the predator in a different light, I don’t know if there is much of a difference insofar as the effect on the victim. A naive 14 or even 16 year old and an eight year old might be similarly traumatized (psychologically) by a sexual assault. Or at least I would think so. Physically, which is difficult to even think about, is a different story and certainly worse on a child. My sister works for child protective services and she had a case once in which a three year old (!!!!!!!!!!) had been serially and routinely raped by multiple adult men for a long term, and it caused permanent internal damage as you can probably imagine. The adults, including the mother, were MS13 gang members and they all lived in the same house. I’ll never get that horrific story out of my mind.
