Carole Lombard & Frederic March made a great team in William Wellman's screwball satire, 1937's "Nothing Sacred." The breakneck comedy of a "dying" young woman who is made a media sensation by a shady reporter could just as easily be made today in our social media star era! Carole is effortlessly great at comedy & Frederic March is funny and charming, too. The stars are supported by a great cast, filmed in beautifully shot color. Here's my take on "Nothing Sacred,"

Thanks OP I think Carole was a great lady from all I've read. In my revised Oscars she should have won for "My Man Gregory"

I remember seeing this though i recall it aS being in black and white. Effortlessly fun and pointed.

It’s so thoughtlessly racist, but the beginning scene when the Black man is treated as an African potentate, only to have his slatternly wife and kids show up is just hysterical to me.
I love the put down of sophisticated New Yorkers shown up as run-of-the-mill suckers.

"Charming" is one word I would never use to describe that dry stiff Frederic March.

Well, Freddie was charming and hot back in '37, IMO.
