He was the worst singer in the top ten. I think the voters look at personal story rather than true talent. Having a baby and not auditioning in his own without his best friend are heart-tuggers. He says he missed his son terribly and regrets the amount of time he spent on the show rather than with his baby boy. What is he going to do with a signed music contract and the expectation of being in the road for the next couple of years?

Leah Marlene was by far my favorite. She is such a talented musician and on some songs has a unique pitch-perfect Dolly-like voice. Her Dad is a rocker with Canadian band Honeymoon Suite so she grew up with rock. Had she been country she probably would’ve won.
After this performance by Hunter Girl though, I think Leah was edged out. The country vote is strong.
I will make it a point to follow both gals though. As well as Nicolina and Lady K. This season had a lot of talent.
Noah was boring but he’s a cute country guy so he won - just like the two prior winners, Chayce Beckham and Laine Hardy.

R37: Carrie Underwood won season 4. Her competitors Constantine Mauroulis went onto Broadway and Bo Bice does successful rock gigs.
Phillip Phillips won season 11.
But to add to your list: Gabby Barrett came in 3rd on season 15 and became semi-successful but she married rival contestant Cade and they are Dugger-like Fundies. It is a mystery why AI promotes them.
Lauren Alaina (runner up season 10) became very successful in country.
Anyway, here is my gal Leah Marlene. Her range is amazing. It’s a shame she couldn’t do any Dolly or Heart songs. She’s only 20 and I believe she’s alluded to lesbianism and autism so maybe that’s why flyover-state voters had trouble with her. She’d fit right in with DLers. I look forward to following her music.

so the top ranked tv show on ABC only picked up 4 million viewers, how much do they charge for the advertisement? It used to be a million dollars for 30 seconds but that was during the heyday with 20 million viewers watching idols.
A quick question, do network tv charge more or less for ads than10 years ago, or the rates stay the same even though the numbers of the viewers are much smaller these days.
