Move over Ozempic...it's time for Retatrutide

Eli Lilly currently in production of an anti obesity drug that beats Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro for weight loss. It's name is Retatrutide, though what jingly-brand name they'll give it remains to be seen.

Ozempic is going to be the iPhone 3 of these weight loss drugs.

The Mounjurao ad has been airing recently and I got such a big laugh seeing it. It went on and on. $$$$$$$ It is five minutes in duration and blatantly advertises weight loss potential. Since Ozempic is hard to get a hold of right now, why shouldn't other companies cash in.

The side effects of the drug were mentioned and includes increased risks of thyroid cancer.

Oh and potential bowel issues. Oily discharge? The bowel issue gives me pause. I would rather not have to wear adult diapers.

Mounjaro…you’re sitting in it!

by Anonymousreply 3June 28, 2023 3:34 AM

Un un. Can't do that. Ozempic caused intestinal blockages in mice.

Good luck to the fat sows in West Virginia pronouncing that at the pharmacy!

by Anonymousreply 6June 28, 2023 3:44 AM

^As in ”Yeah, gimme some of that retard tide.”

by Anonymousreply 7June 28, 2023 3:48 AM

The side effects don't make it worth taking

by Anonymousreply 8June 28, 2023 4:10 AM

Potential side effects and a thirty inch waistline is worth a risk.

by Anonymousreply 9June 28, 2023 4:11 AM

I took Mounjaro for six months and lost 35 pounds. I have now switched over to Wegovy because it is covered by my health insurance, and while I haven't lost any more weight, yet, I also haven't gained any back.

The side effects were minimal.

by Anonymousreply 10June 28, 2023 4:23 AM

And if/when Retatrutide is approved, I would take that.

by Anonymousreply 11June 28, 2023 4:24 AM

All the fat fucks who didn’t want the vaccine because they didn’t know everything that’s in it and felt it was rushed will run over their own mother to get it.

by Anonymousreply 12June 28, 2023 4:32 AM

Any problems injecting the medications. R10?

by Anonymousreply 13June 28, 2023 4:53 AM

R13, it's easy, and just a very slight prick. It's a little easier with Mounjaro. I think its injection pen has a bit better design than the one used for Wegovy.

America will be covered with tarps of stretched-out, extraneous skin being dragged behind former fatties.

We'll be treading on the skin carpets puddled around them when we try to walk down the potato chips aisle at the Piggly Wiggly.

Where are people finding Wegovy? I can't find a pharmacy that has it.

by Anonymousreply 16June 28, 2023 9:24 PM

To experience Diarrhea and constipation at the same time? No thank you

by Anonymousreply 17June 28, 2023 11:50 PM

Aaaaaaaand fabulous weight loss

by Anonymousreply 18June 28, 2023 11:59 PM

R15 is that asshole who criticizes people who struggle with their weight then slams then when they do something about it.

"Making life boring"= turning off the part of the brain that tells you to eat when you are not hungry, drink booze until you are living on a street and pushing your belongings in front of you in a shopping 🛒 and gamble your life savings away.

by Anonymousreply 21June 29, 2023 12:18 AM

From my head to my shoes! Oooh oooh oooh oooh! I've got a new retatrutide!

by Anonymousreply 22June 29, 2023 12:27 AM

They could do a Mounjaro - Depends product tie in. Who could be the spokesperson?

by Anonymousreply 23June 29, 2023 12:27 AM

Who the hell invented that name?

by Anonymousreply 24June 29, 2023 12:33 AM

Do you have to be obese to get a prescription for these drugs?

by Anonymousreply 25June 29, 2023 1:57 AM

Their first choice was taken, R24

Read OP again. It says the commercial name hasn’t been revealed. Retatrutide is the drug name, as Semaglutide is the drug name for Ozempic.

by Anonymousreply 27June 29, 2023 1:53 PM

R25 normally a doctor won't write you a prescription if you don't need the medication.

And even if they do, it's a matter of whether insurance will pay for it or not.

R10 You are planning on taking it for the rest of your life?

[quote] Who the hell invented that name?

Dr. Isaac Retatrutide. Why, you don't like it?

by Anonymousreply 31July 15, 2023 1:14 PM

R16, I use a compounding pharmacy to get the drug. Fella Health and Henry Meds have programs.
