Minka has had several high profile relationships with celebs including Taylor Kitsch, Chris Evans, Derek Jeter, Trevor Noah and John Mayer.
She explained in the book that one of her relationships led to beginning rounds of IVF and getting pregnant. The pregnancy ultimately ended in a miscarriage.

Minka is now clarifying something from the book.
“All the effort I might have invested in connecting consistently with the girls on the show went to Taylor. So when my relationship with Taylor became toxic, I had no one to turn to,” Minka wrote in the book while discussing her lack of female friendships during her time on FNL.
Minka just appeared on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live and was asked about describing her relationship as “toxic.”
“I don’t know if I describe it as a toxic relationship,” Minka replied. “I say it became toxic as a result of.. being under the pressure cooker of a new show. You’re 26 years old and in your twenties, I think there’s a chance that might happen if you come from where I come from and you have the tools that I have or don’t have, and what was important to me and what I really tried to do, especially in that chapter, was keep the focus on my sh-t.”

The View is very awkward television. The hosts are too busy listening to the producers in their ears to have a natural conversation with the guest. Minka gushed about meeting with The View and there was the smallest acknowledgment from the hosts of her opening comment. Minka who sounds like a bimbo, but obviously isn't, had to reframe the question asked about her mother. The question asked is borderline hostile and accusatory. What an awful show.
