Being from the UK I had no idea who this guy was till I looked him up. But from the photo alone I could tell he and his wife were Republican/right wing.

What I read was worse than I expected. According to his Wikpedia article he's called gay people "sinful", "destructive", and a "deviant group," which is extreme even for a Republican.
