In addition to the infamous "Not In Front Of My Salad" video, Men.com has dozens of videos where the plot is that a gay guy seduces a straight guy while his girlfriend/wife/mother is around and that they are frequently interrupted by this woman barging in on them and that sometimes the gay guy is behind the counter blowing the straight guy while his wife is talking to him.
Is this a big fantasy for gay men?
I mean it must be, because they keep making these videos, but it is a major boner killer for me, especially when the woman walks in to "interrupt" the sex.
What am I missing?
| by Anonymous | reply 72 | February 23, 2022 6:28 PM |
Many gay men want what they perceive to be a "real" man. And nothing is more "real" to these gays than a man who also fucks pussy. So yeah, it is considered a big fantasy for many gay men (not me).
| by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 17, 2021 4:26 PM |
The main thing men.com goes for is to a make a very brief clip a meme. They want to show people with open jaws horrified because men.com thinks the idea that sex is scandalous sells.
Many, many gay men have complained about this and have said the presence of horrified onlookers is a boner killer, but whoever runs men.com seems convinced this is how to get views.

yeah, i think it's really hot, kinky and pervy! it's a whole power control role reversal along with the "don't get caught' naughty vibe...
as long as the "straight guy" is really built, handsome and "straight looking/acting" of course...
the thing is usually from what i have seen the 2 men are NEVER caught! At least the scenes i have seen!

I get the whole straight guy fantasy R1
But that doesn't have to mean corny overacted scenes where the "wife" is constantly walking in the guys and interrupting the sex scene.

[quote] the thing is usually from what i have seen the 2 men are NEVER caught! At least the scenes i have seen!
OP particular name-drops the "NOT IN FRONT OF MY SALAD!" where the guys do get caught. I think there was a particular series called "Stealth Fuckers" where the guys do not get caught. But the site's most famous memes come from scenes where the guys or guy do get caught. Like that weird holiday one where one guy fucks the pie and the entire "family" freaks out.
Some are just silly fun and some are quite hot, the two recent ones I like are Cockpit Daddy (Theo Brady and Kyle Connors) and the recent one, Banging The Poolboy starring Ashton Summers and Reese Rideout and an over the top female porn star.

I don't know why porn films even attempt to have any type of plot, these people can't act and even if they could it isn't why people are viewing them.
I support women, I think our politics would be better if there were more of them in it, Marjorie Taylor Greene not included, but I don't want women anywhere near my gay porn they add nothing.

I agree with OP. I just can't believe this hasn't made the headlines of every major newspaper in the US! Not to mention all the broadcast and cable news outlets.
| by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 17, 2021 4:59 PM |
The scene's main focus is still the gay porn. It's just "dress up" or setting the stage for the roleplaying element, like when the clip needs to establish that these guys are supposed to be related (when these are well established porn stars and you know they aren't related in real life).
Some guys are into role play.

Men.com is a pay site so most people have probably never seen a whole movie. I don't buy it either, but I have seen enough to know that sometimes they get caught. But I am with the other commenters that don't wanna see women in porn. That is indeed a boner killer.

Porn should be porny. Viewers who like cheesy, amateurish humor in their porn are weird. To me, exaggerated expressions and slapstick are the opposite of sexy.
If porn could ever be legitimized as part of the acting profession, it would've happened already.

Comedy, and setting up stories, was always part of the porn industry. Straight and Gay (ChiChi LaRue). That didn't start with MEN.COM.
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 18, 2021 1:15 PM |
ChiChi's horrible "comedy" wasn't revered in the 1990s when she did it then, nor is it beloved in today's industry.
NO, classic porn wasn't about moronic "comedic situations," only in horrible bi porn by ChiChi and a (very) few others.

It's good to see fellow gay men hating this trend as much a I do. For a while I was shocked at the prevalence of this genre. Men.com is the most egregious offender with them hiring and promoting straight jackhammer fuck-machine tops who refuse to touch the dick of the bottom or even kiss them. As if all gay men are just holes with no emotional needs just wanting to be filled and dumped.

That’s exactly what it is. Straight women (and even some lesbians) who are into gay male porn has been a small but growing niche for several years now.

Yes.

It's not really the "straight guy" aspect of it that turns me on as much as a guy having to keep his composure while getting head or getting fucked that I like.
Probably one of the first porn scenes I saw was a businessman type barking orders on the phone and then the camera pans down to show a guy sucking him off under the desk. Then someone comes in to talk to him and he has to hold it together while he cums.
Made such an impression on me that I occasionally try to blow my boyfriend while he's on the phone.

| by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 18, 2021 2:09 PM |
^ I skip the bad dialogue, but will watch the foreplay (if there's any) before the main event. That's another problem: not enough foreplay. Too many vids have mainly closeup dick-in-a-hole shots. It seems so mechanical, impersonal.
| by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 18, 2021 2:15 PM |
Blame the guys who illegally download good porn from torrent sites or watch / stream them from pornhub, tube, etc. Porn studios and active membership required porn sites listen to their paying customers. And if those customers are mainly horny women and queers with dyed pink or blue hair who prefer bad porn then bad porn gets produced and the guys, who don't pay for their porn, are left wondering why's there's no new good porn released they can enjoy for free.
Money talks. Bareback porn didn't become mainstream, because people "liked" it on social media. Bareback porn was selling better than condom porn. And bit by bit, studio by studio, website by website, the gay porn industry moved from condom porn to bareback porn.
| by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 18, 2021 2:26 PM |
There is a segment of the gay community that hates women. It turns them on to see women "lose" their "straight" man to a gay.
Personally, I think it is stupid to put women in "Gay" porn. "Straight" men are not interested in gay men.
| by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 18, 2021 2:50 PM |
My understanding was that Straight Women Who Like Gay Porn were into CockyBoys and followed those guys on social media and created Pinterest boards about them and whatnot.
This was an understanding I'd gained from Datalounge--can't find the thread but don't think I'm imagining it.

I find this 'genre' of porn to be CRINGE to the fucking max. I just want porn featuring hot, built and hung men fucking the daylights out of each other and loving it, shot well and lit well with a variety of angles and positions - no gimmicks, no distracting soundtracks or scenery - it really shouldn't be difficult but most porn these days is garbage.
| by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 18, 2021 3:34 PM |
“ Men.com is the most egregious offender with them hiring and promoting straight jackhammer fuck-machine tops who refuse to touch the dick of the bottom or even kiss them. As if all gay men are just holes with no emotional needs just wanting to be filled and dumped.”
You realize many men who are into men precisely love seeing this, even only this.
| by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 18, 2021 4:16 PM |
There are some real odd parallels and opposites here. We're assuming that straight women buy most of the men com porn. What the hell is erotic about a gender reveal party with a grandma? Of course anyone stupid enough to pay for porn these days is probably a straight woman who's doesn't download it from bootleg channels. Meanwhile, straight women gleefully share bootlegs of gay romance novel ebooks on private forums. In both cases it's straight women literally invading a gay market.
I don't think it's the fault of women directors like mrPam, who has made some really sexy gay stuff; she's a good director. Perhaps it's just a desperate ploy to be trendy because the studio porn is being outdone by OnlyFans and amateur videos. Corny studio scenarios are completely outdone by amateur videos where guys are literally jacking off on buses and trains (and at Home Depot!) and recording themselves having sex in public.
| by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 18, 2021 4:50 PM |
The only thing I like about 'plot' is getting to see performers talk and behave before getting down. I also like to watch someone taking off their clothes.
If it's just grunts and moans it's not as comprehensive.
| by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 18, 2021 5:08 PM |
Yeah, the setup of a Men.com scene is always lame and usually badly acted, but it often makes a scene hotter for me versus a standard scene of two performers kissing/undressing/having sex. I’ll admit I have enjoyed the taboo aspects of certain scenarios including all of the stepdad/stepbrother ones. Having said that, the plot device of a frau in the next room/same room is a real wood killer.

Memo to porn "studios": Minimal dialogue please. No women. No music. No comedy. No condoms.
Thank you.
| by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 18, 2021 5:38 PM |
I'm not anymore put off by those scenarios, which I always see as porn's version of "comedy," than I am by the non-cuckold "converting the straight guy" or "coercing the straight guy" scenarios that seem to round out 90 percent of gay porn.
I don't like it. I am just attracted to male physical bodies. I'm not turned on by "conversion" fantasies or especially by tricking or blackmailing a straight guy into having sex. These are the majority of gay sex scenes I have seen and I do not get it at all.
And the alternative extent of gay porn directors' imaginations seems to be...just two guys going at it on a bed or in some outdoor scene with no storyline at all.
I can't figure out why to this day gay porn doesn't represent that two (or more?) gay men are just gay men and that they can just as easily be slotted into almost any given scenario. I don't like that gay porn almost always involves some sort of manipulation of an unwilling sex partner or else no narrative at all.

The interviews Sean Cody et al would do before the sex scenes were entertaining, provided you believed the stories, as they gave you a sense of who the guys were and their real personalities before you saw them having sex.

Having sex with a straight or even married man is still just sex with a man to whom one is attracted. The woman is not present or involved in any way.
I hooked up several times when I was young with a guy who told me he was married. (I think he told me after we were done the first time and it left me a little bewildered.) I met him in an AOL chatroom or gay.com or something, and I remember reasoning with myself that he was on the prowl and would be doing it with some other guy if not with me, so it may as well be me.
I wouldn't do it now, but now I am 43 and then I was 18 or 19 and my whole brain was possessed by sexual cravings.

Only to be "saved" by one of the wedding guest covering her eyes to keep her from seeing the gay sex happening around her.

What they really want in these videos is the scene where the clueless wife/girlfriend finally figures it out and acts shocked, so they can use those seconds to advertise the video on a free porn site mike myvidster.
For some reason gay men respond really well to clips of those seconds where the characters drop their jaws and boggle their eyes and look shocked, and it works incredibly well as clickbait for the pay-per-view site. This astonishes me because I think those moments are stupid, but if it works, it works.
This is at least what someone in the business told me.
