[quote] But because I'm not truly hateful, I'll break it down for you: Somebody who has never suffered starvation, or the threat of mass murder, calling those who have and saying that those who have suffered this are suffering it because they've had bad thoughts, is a fucking asshole.
First, I am not going to play your silly little game of whose suffering is superior and whose suffering is inferior. Quite frankly, it's beneath me to assign that kind of worth to suffering. And I refuse to theorize why it matters so much to you what suffering trumps other people's suffering and what you get out of it personally. I don't want to know. Honestly.
Second. I believe, and I can see that may be offensive to some, that tragedies don't happen in a vacuum. Lots of things happen before a tragedy shakes us to the core. Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power in Germany. That was worrying. Jews getting vilified by the Nazis (PSAs comparing Jews to rats, for example). I believe that was quite wrong. Nazis forcing Jews to wear signs on their clothing to label them as Jews. Nazis shutting down Jewish shops and businesses. Nazis dragging Jews to concentration camps, starving them, using them for vile and horrifying experiments, shooting them, gassing them. Absolutely horrible things. I am not going to lie, I feel absolutely rotten and negative when I think of such atrocities or when I see, hear or read about them.
In your comment, you use a very important word:
[bold] Triggered [/bold] doesn't even BEGIN to describe it,
Did you have positive or negative thoughts after I have triggered you? You observe something and there is a mental reaction. A ... *dramatic pause* ... thought. That thought led to another thought, and that thought led to another thought ... and that thought ... and that thought ... and that thought led to an action: It led to your salty response at r109.
You could have just laughed it off, you could've gone "whatever, bitch!" and watched a funny animal video on YouTube, going down a rabbit hole of funny animal videos. But instead you got negative and mean. Your negative reaction led to negative thoughts which led to a negative action calling a total stranger on an anonymous message board an asshole.
This is the law of attraction.
- Observing a negative condition, thinking about it: Do I want more of that, or do I want something else? When focus remains on the negative condition, more negative thoughts about the condition will follow and that will keep going on until (can be moments, can be minutes, can be hours, can be days, can be weeks, can be years) you gain access to opportunities and experiences that will mirror your negative state of mind.
- Observing a negative condition, thinking about it: Do I want more of that, or do I want something else? When focus gets shifted to something else the negative condition will not result in negative thoughts regarding the condition. Thoughts will go in a complete different direction. Likely in a positive direction if no further negative conditions are being observed.
And I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your comment at r109, because it is the most perfect DL example for law of attraction being as real as any scientific law.
