She was cringey, but the entire episode was pretty amateurish. The written dialogue this season has been pretty bad, and the performances haven’t helped it.

The episode was trash. After seeing Lizzo's word vomit, run-on sentence delivery of her first major line before she risked forgetting it (again), I knew I had to stop watching. The episode is for fraus and kids. The tv reviews of the episode seemed slightly baffled by the shift in tone and all the famous guest stars.

but.
I didn't care for the stunt-casting. The three characters were all very distracting due to the casting. And the bad acting. Lizzo can sing, and play the shit out of a 200 year old glass flute, but she can NOT act. And Jack Black is just Jack Black in everything, and he's grown to be annoying to me. And Christopher Lloyd played Doc, and it was weird, and he's so old, and again, totally distracted me and took me out of it all.

I loved her on this show. I thought she was really good! Her husband was Jack Black. I loved that whole setup and hope they bring them back. She and Grogu were adorable together!

Christopher Loyd looked a thousand years old and I was surprised they didn’t really do anything to make him look alien. No unusual hairstyles or costuming.
Lizzo can’t act her way out of a paper bag, plus she was playing an idiot who somehow doesn’t notice her husband is running an Imperial sleeper cell.
Jack Black has enough range that he could go from playing an empty headed moron in this episode, to playing an undercover, ruthless Imperial officer that married some local woman to get the Empire to take over her planet, but they’ll probably miss the opportunity to do that. All three of them looked really out of place. But Jack Black is the one that seems most likely to be able to dig his way out, if they give him the opportunity. Otherwise it’s just wasted stunt casting for all of them, which it probably is.

All the fans of the 3D animated media are creaming themselves over the Bo-Katan character being involved (or possibly becoming the main character) in the show, but the actress is pretty bad to me. Paz Vizla’s actor is pretty bad also - he sounded borderline mentally handicapped in the speech about supporting [redacted for spoiler purposes].
At least the Armorer is a good (voice) actress.
