No, you are wrong, shockingly wrong.
Some of us understand all to well and reach same conclusion; LM is wearing hair, likely a full wig, and we reach that conclusion for several reasons.
First and foremost few women >70 still have their natural brunette (especially dark) hair color. Coloring white hair (what grey hair really is, especially once percentage of it goes above say 50%), 1N, 2N, 3N or even 4N (black through medium brown) especially around hair line is an ordeal. Black especially is not often done because of nature of white hair. For most persons you'd have to lay down dye load so opaque person would have a hairline like Eddie Munster.
Due to hair growth within two weeks (or less) of coloring hair white regrowth (roots) would begin to show and since contrast against darker brunette (especially raven wing blacks) is so great it is noticed at once. So persons either would be slaves to that bottle or walk around looking like a skunk.
LM has worn that same hairstyle for decades. In theory it would be possible to abuse her hair (frequent permanent coloring) since it kept so short whatever damage occurs to mid-length or ends would be cut off. But she also has a rather thick head of hair for a woman who has been dying (presumably) it for decades. While possible, it isn't usually normal.
