Even if she is a beard, nobody would care. He’s a 50-something character actor. The fact they he could pull off Zoolander as San character actor shows he’s got some talent. He’s be fine as an out gay. His wife has no career outside of his, but she is talented within a narrow range, too.

I have worked with Christine before. She's very real, friendly and sweet. I didn't get the "actress" vibe from her, just a normal person. I didn't see her as a Home Depot credit card owner nor a member of the Rosie Os.
Ben was also there. He was very quiet. I heard not nice things about him, so I did nothing but shook his hand and introduced myself. He was OK with that.

I saw Christine and Ben in person a few years ago, and she is very pretty in person. Ben is not bad looking, but he is short with a proportionately large head and looked as if he put a lot of time into maintaining his appearance.
Neither pinged during this brief encounter, but I got the sense Ben was quite anxious and tightly wound (he was polite, but radiated nerves), and that Christine was used to managing this part of him. When they separated, I wondered if she had reached her limit in terms of providing emotional support.
The rumors I heard about Christine’s weight loss influenced my impression of the couple: Ben insisted they follow a strict diet and never cheat. Because he followed the same diet himself, he believed he and Christine were both on the same page - but the restriction wasn’t healthy for her. I wouldn’t be surprised if a separation was necessary to establish some boundaries around what Ben could reasonably expect from Christine.

I hadn't heard they got back together, and when I realized they had, my gut reaction was "Oh, no! The poor thing got away from him once."
I do think she's better looking than he is, but to me the huge discrepancy is that I've always heard she's very nice and personable and that he's a raging asshole. Especially as they age, THAT sort of discrepancy is going to put major pressure on the relationship.
