Dolly is one of the most talented singers ever. She also had a lot of pain and struggle throughout her life. Despite that, she had a good heart, which is hard to encounter in Nashville. At a time when gay people were oppressed beyond belief, they identified with her struggles and she theirs.

It's really quite amazing she's held up for so long. I have a feeling though she'll be in Kirk Douglas territory soon, after all, one can plump and stitch up a pillow for only so long before it comes apart at the seams.
And yeah, those dentures...she's starting to whistle like Dan Rather.

It’s on again tonight and it is OVER THE TOP CAMP. So bad it’s good. Her voice is fine, better than Mariah’s last night but the acting bits are just awful.
