The original starred Debra Winger and Theresa Russell. There was obvious sexual tension between the two women, but the director never developed that storyline. The man they rivaled for was miscast, and unbelievable as someone two women would fight over. Do you remember this movie?

YES, I remember this movie! I thought it was very good and it made me follow Theresa Russell. OMG, did you see her with Harvey Keitel in Bad Timing? And whatever happened to Debra Winger - she was a great talent. I remember a documentary about her, titled something like 'Searching for Debra Winger.' I'm too lazy to IMDB the title right now.

I found it very scary as a 3 year old. I cried in my mother’s arms.

Theresa Russell was like a trashier version of Rebecca De Mornay. I wish I had never watched her in a movie called Whore, which was like the anti Pretty Woman. Horrifying.

I suggested this a while back. It should be male/male this time.

I love this film to death! Please don't remake it with an obvious lesbian sub-plot. Keep it loose!
As is, it's stylish, over-the-top, campy fun. Both Theresa Russell and Debra Winger are great in their respective roles.
Sooo many great lines!
"You question is, does she love. That's impossible to know... unless you live in her WORLD."

I thought Theresa Russell was a second rate Kathleen Turner. Who would be in the remake? Kristen Stewart, I imagine.

Alia Shawkat for Debra Winger.

Theresa Russell's lack of emotion really worked well for her in this movie.

Remember it? I was an extra in it

I saw it recently again. Russell and Winger are terrific in it. I love their relationship but the movie but it takes the easy way out with them fighting over a man.
The scene where Russell accepts her gift from Winger with a kiss is great.

It will likely be made by Tyler Perry, starring Taraji P. Henson and Regina Hall.

Thank you, R9, for also knowing about the 1954 film "Black Widow".
I love those big, glossy, color, all-star Cinemascope movies from the 1950s and that one is great fun.
One can't help but laugh at the final discussion of the film as 3 of the main characters discuss how the newly arrested killer will be in court.

Could this be what inspired Phoebe Waller-Bridge to create "KIlling Eve"?
