"Hey Mickey" by Baby Tate ft/ Saweetie

Has anybody heard this? Apparently it's gone viral on the clock app (like everything these days). Yes, elder gays, it's a 2020s remix/remake of the Toni Basil song "Mickey".

Somehow it manages to be gayer than the original (if that's possible). And...it kinda slaps? Kinda? I don't know. The main rapper on it is a girl I've never heard of, someone named Baby Tate. Not gonna lie I thought she was a white girl until I heard her drop an n-bomb, then I quickly Googled and saw that she's not only Black, but the daughter of Dionne Farris (the chick who sings that "I Know" song). The other rapper is Saweetie, who is famous for not being very good and briefly having her own meal at McDonald's.

I just hope this doesn't become a trend...the whole "taking bad 80s songs and turning them into bad current-day rap songs" is not a trend we need. Mainstream music sucks enough as it is.

Saweetie was so sick of McDonalds by the end. Watching her struggle to chew and try not to gag was absolutely hilarious. That’s all I know about her.
