Hello Larry, the 70s sitcom starring McLean Stevenson and Kim Richards

Does anyone else remember this show? I remember it premiered with Diff'rent Strokes and was very excited about it because I loved Kim Richards from Escape to Witch Mountain and James at 15 when I was a kid.

I remember it was a punchline for many years but I think I only ever saw the crossover with Different Strokes

It was dreadful and didn’t die as quickly as one would hope!

I remember there were 2 different actresses who played the dark-haired daughter.

With Tony award-winning Broadway star, Joanna Gleason, I'm surprised this isn't a DL favorite.

Well, I simply LOVED it. No one was talking about me at the time.

The cute dweeby kid from Square Pegs, John Femia (Marshall Blechtman) was in it.

The downfall of Kim Richards is pretty sad.

Everyone who grew up in the 70s loved Kim Richards. It so sad she's become a complete mess and a hag.

I loved her too.

The RHOBH really cashed in on people who wanted to see how the iconic child actress turned out.

Those of you who remember Donna Wilkes (the first actress to play Kim Richard's sister on Hello Larry) will enjoy this.

She was also the star of the movie Angel.

As a kid I remember seeing the poster plastered all over L.A. when Angel was released and thinking "that's the girl from Hello Larry!"

A friend of mine was supposed to appear on DWTS with Kim Richards (dancing to "Jive Talkin'") but she was too messed up and the producers didn't want her.

Poor, deluded McLean. His success on MASH convinced him that he could strike out on his own. He got his face BROKE.

The theme song is a notorious earworm: listen to it only once and it can torture you for decades to come.

R13, that was the tabloid fodder at the time.

The reboot, Empty Nest, provided more likeable actors.

Donna doesn't speak too highly of McLean in R10's video.
