I would imagine they aren't hurting for money, per se. I'm sure they've turned to financial advisors to invest the money they have, they don't need Charles' help to find one in America. During the height if the pandemic, the rich got much richer as the stock market did f ac fantastically. If they had anything resembling a decent portfolio they made money.
But what they call real money is probably eluding them. They have huge property, house-grounds staff, security, and legal expenses.
They want to be very rich. They aren't.
Their foundation only raised $50,000 in its first year, and they keep hiring people for it. I think the site boasts nine or so people, all with managerial level titles. How the hell are they paying them?
They may have millions, but their costs are in the millions, too. If they want to stay A-listers and live like ones, they really do need a great deal more money than they appear to have attracted.
With their alleged friends and contacts, that foundation should be at least in the mid-six figures.
I think they have alienated almost everyone they've come into contact with, from the hands that fed them back in Blighty to Netflix, Spotify, politicos, journos, the British government just stuck it to Harry by taking away the handling of TEAM UK IG participation from HfH, an IG partner, and giving it to one if the Queen'smost prestigious patronages, the Royal British Legion.
Everyone seems to step back after an initial experience with them.
They need tens of millions to get to and maintain the rung they're aiming for, and they haven't got the goods to push them up there.
Charles isn't that rich. The TIMES Richest List just came out. Charles is a pauper compared to the industrial and business giants on that list. The Queen didn't make it into the top twenty, let alone Charles.
The Chancellor, JK Rowling, the Duke of Westminister, Dyson . . . They could buy and sell at least Charles, and a couple could buy and sell the Queen.
The current generation of Windsors at this point in history punch well above their weight in wealth, because they have access to living spaces that they never had to buy, jewels that they didn't have to buy . . .along with innate status that money can't buy.
That's why the Sussexes were so foolish. They should have realised that they couldn't replicate their golden gig outside the golden circle.
They kept making fools of themselves. Oprah was a line they should never have crossed. The timing was catastrophic. The ANL court battle showed that they lied to the public about their involvement in that moronic book and she was willing to perjure herself about it. That horrible book she wrote that flopped . . .
Harry couldn't even get through a 12 minute interview after the IGs without pissing off more people whose good will he needs, i.e. his father and Netflix.
Character is destiny.
