THAT’S who he picked after all the hoopla that series produced? She’s a dog, way out of his league, but maybe that ‘s why the producers maybe pressured him to pick her?
There’s a persistent fantasy afoot where good-looking men become enamored of plain women. I just saw that at work yesterday in a movie I hated, “La Chimera” directed by the flavor-of-the-year Alice Rohrbacher. Josh O’Connor is enamored of one exceptionally doggy woman and then becomes briefly infatuated by an even uglier one. The movie is a shambles, but O’Connor is good and even looks attractive despite his director’s attempt to make him look as ugly as the rest of the cast.
Perhaps that’s why I see a similar impulse at work here.

R8 Be that as it may, she's got money, and that was why he chose her. I'm ashamed to say, I watched this, the only bachelor I've ever seen. It was pretty clear he was going to choose Prince's ex gf and he was sitting, bored, with Theresa, and then she mentioned her investments....and his eyes lit up, and he dumped Leslie.

He lied about so much. His whole shtick was that he was alone after his wife died and looking for love when in reality he was in a few relationships, one long term relationship starting a month after his wife died. They called him a restaurateur when in reality he owned a little burger joint back in the 80's and his last job was as a maintenance man.
