"Elly Mae goes to School" and "The Clampett Look"

These 2 episodes of BH are my absolute favorite of the series. I just love it!

For me, nothing tops THE GARDEN PARTY. When Granny hears that green-thumbed Mrs. Drysdale has to "have her hibiscus taken out", she exclaims, "I'll help ya-- don't let 'em go to cuttin' on ya!" Jethro stumbles upon this scene and asks what a hibiscus is, and Granny grumbles that it's "doctors' talk" and "for grown-ups". Classic!

The Beverly Hillbillies was loaded with subliminal campy shade. I remember Mrs. Drysdale came around collecting for charity...

Granny: "Where's the money going?"

Mrs. Drysdale: "It's going to help the poor and underprivileged people over in Brentwood"
