I useed to think it was just people from the South, but I've noticed a lot of midwesterners say it that way too.
And why don't they pronounce Sunday as Sunduh?

Why don’t you find a hobby?
| by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 13, 2023 3:25 PM |
I have never heard it pronounced like that.
| by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 13, 2023 3:27 PM |
I've not once heard it pronounced that way, OP, nor have you. Grow up.
| by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 13, 2023 3:40 PM |
It's a different spelling of Sunday, so you pronounce it like Sunday.

OP, here in Ohio, we also say, "win-duh," as in: "Time to WARSH the WIN-DUHs."
| by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 13, 2023 3:54 PM |
Do you want to go out for brunch?
No. Im playing w/ my pussy.
| by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 13, 2023 4:03 PM |
Never heard that. I'm in Texas and it's Sun-day or some of the more rural folk may say Sun-dy.
| by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 13, 2023 4:35 PM |
What r7 said. No one says "Sun-duh." Maybe OP should get his ears checked for bullshit.
| by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 13, 2023 4:50 PM |
OP, I've lived in the south for 70 years, and to date I have never heard anyone here say "sunduh". That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all year. Now, I have heard people in rural areas say "sundy", but then I've heard people all over the country pronounce it that way.

Howdy Doody sang "I'll make a chocolate sundae, big enough to last til Monday."

R6 Why is it Brunch? Should be Blunch.
| by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 13, 2023 4:58 PM |
I don’t serve ice cream for a living so don’t really have a scope of reference other than “Sunday “. I am also not a fat whore.
| by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 13, 2023 5:00 PM |
Which lever do you pull for OP to be crushed by a safe?
| by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 13, 2023 5:03 PM |
My friend says sundah and says BLONDAH instead of blonde.
| by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 13, 2023 5:07 PM |
I've heard of this before but I'm thinking it's a St Louis accent. It's the word sundae 🍨 not the day of the week. Some older folks do pronounce it sun-duh but I'm under the impression it's sun-dee. I'm lactose intolerant so I can't have ice cream. That pronunciation is region specific and older people use it still.

It’s pronounced SUNDAY and if you junky whores pronounce it any other way, you better go sell in Iceland because if I ever find you I’ll slit your fucking throats.

R15, your friend was not raised right.
| by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 13, 2023 5:49 PM |
R19 right? She torments me by saying “blondah” and “sundah” because she knows it irritates me.
| by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 13, 2023 6:01 PM |
La-zag-na instead of lasagna irritates me too
| by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 13, 2023 6:02 PM |
^^^ should have said La-zag-nah
| by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 13, 2023 6:03 PM |
R21 You've never once heard someone pronounce it that way - what a stupid thing to make up.
| by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 13, 2023 6:04 PM |
R24 why are you doing this?
