Did Charlie Sheen and Maxwell Caulfield ever hook up while filing The Boys Next Door?

There was nobody more handsome than Maxwell Caulfield in 1985.

Since we know that Charlie Sheen is into guys to some extent, and since he was grooming Corey Haim on the set of Lucas, do we think Charlie Sheen ever tried to hook up with Max?

And does/did Max swing that way at all?

And don’t tell me that Charlie Sheen was only into kids. He has HIV, and there’s that alleged gay sex tape of him.

(Funnily, I was watching a recent interview with Charlie Sheen where he talked about the film and he accidentally referred to Max as “Matthew.”)

Charlie Sheen used to be very goodlooking. Better looking than Emilio. Even on the early seasons of Two and a Half Men he was still very sexy. He's charming and witty. Too bad Charlie is also insane and a sociopath.

Yes they did. I saw it. I was a costume designer on the show. Charlie's weight even then fluctuated quite a bit. I knocked on Charlie's trailer and walked in and there they were! in flagrante delicto!

Thanks DL for introducing me to this movie: an intriguing mix of homoeroticism and homophobia, A Rebel Without a Cause meets A Clockwork Orange. And very pretty to watch. Besides Misters Sheen and Caulfield, shot after shot of gloomy, frightening, aqua-pink-purple Los Angeles.

Anyway if Sheen and Caulfield didn’t mess around: that’s a tragedy. There was definitely sexual chemistry between them in this movie (but I guess that could be acting).

Yes. I believe they hooked up. The age difference between Caulfield and Sheen is about the same as the one between Sheen and Corey Haim.
