TCM airs two Charlton Heston futuristic hell on earth films from the early '70s: "Soylent Green" 10/25 at 8 p.m./ET, followed by "The Omega Man" at 10. Heston is in full polyester safari jacket & kerchief mode, sneering & sarcastic at the world on the outside, but sad at the state of the world on the inside! Here's my take on "Soylent Green," which is highly entertaining for many reasons!

The opening titles to "Soylent Green" is one of the best things about the movie. Show in a nutshell how we got to where we are as a country.
