Here's a gathering of friends at Rock Hudson's Malibu beach house, circa1965.
These silent films were shot by Roddy MacDowell, and this particular one features Lauren Bacall, Robert Wagner, George Cukor, Jack Gilford, Elaine May and Lovey Howell.

I love the home movies of classic film stars. There lives seem so beautiful and glamorous and filled with so much privilege and luxury in a way that doesn't exist anymore.

This one features a compellingly butch Hope Lange (who is that woman she's following into the house and where are they headed?) Natalie Wood, Jane Fonda, Imogene Coca, Mike Nichols, David O. Selznick, etc.

Bacall has a more masculine face than Hudson does.
When did she hit the wall?

I loved these movies! Thank you. Looked very very gay to me. Couldnt place the woman, not Bacall. Bacall' second marriage to Jason Robards was rumored to be awful - him horrible. Then she found herself a lady love. Rock had bigger Beverly Hills digs I think.

Paul Newman was the most gorgeous man on Earth, Jesus F Christ.
Did Lauren Bacall not have a life? Did she show up at all these things and boss everyone around? Do you think Roddy rolled his eyes and gave her a polite air kiss everytime she showed up?
| by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 17, 2017 2:46 AM |
Rock Hudson had a gorgeous house in Beverly Hills, but horribly tacky Spanish style furniture. I remember going to the Realtors open house, and many didn't go because they were afraid of getting AIDS. Seriously.
A well-known director (blanking on the name) bought it and I believe leveled the place.

| by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 17, 2017 3:02 AM |
Regarding the clip at R13... what was going on in their lives?
Paul Newman and Lauren Bacall may have been working together on "Harper" which came out in 1966.
Lee Remick and George Segal would work together in the 1968 "No Way to Treat a Lady".
The little blond boy who appears at around 7:29 next to Bacall could very well be Sam Robards who was born in 1961.
Ben Gazarra's TV series "Run for Your Life" started in 1965.
Gazarra's wife Janice Rule was working steady too, both in TV and in 2 features that would come out in 1966: "The Chase" and "Alvarez Kelly".
At 4:03 Paul Newman arrives and it appears he has 4 of his kids with him: 2 little girls, 1 older girl and is that his son, Scott at 4:05 - 4:29 who looks like he feels out of place? Doesn't fit in with the adults and much too old for the little kids. Scott would have been about 15 at the time these movies were taken and the kid at 4:05 seems about that age.
| by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 17, 2017 3:12 AM |
For those who don't know, Scott Newman would died at age 28 from a drug overdose 13 years after these movies.

R19 According to one of the comments on YouTube, Roddy's BF was Ed Rosenthal. He was really handsome. Here's some footage including him in a speedo.

So fascinating. Some of the clothes are amazing. Notice how tiny and thin everyone appears - aside from staying fit to be in the business you can tell they were not eating things loaded with corn syrup the way we are. Even their bones seem small. Itty bitty ladies in white pants. Everyone smoking. And Lauren Bacall why does she always growl at the camera and show those bad teeth.

R13 Thank you! R20 Glad you spotted Janice Rule too, I loved her screen performances. I think I first saw her in "Welcome to Hard Times." She had been married to Gazarra for a few years by this clip.
R16 In NYC wealthy gay women circles - small but many celebrities - Bacall had a partner that she became involved with after Robards. Bacall had become more vociferous about Civil Rights, stepping up a lifetime commitment to Democractic Party politics and that was apparently what she shared with her partner. Sadly I couldnt tell you anything else about her except she was a woman of color and they were very circumspect, I am told her kids knew about it. This goes a long way to explaining Whitney Houstons obvious admiration for Lauren. They shared common friends.

R39, thanks! I really appreciate the Lauren dish, that woman simply smoldered. I can't see too many men or women turning her down.
I also read that Bogart struggled with his own gay feelings, but the source is suspect (Daily Mail.)

Bacall seems annoyingly desperate in these videos. Mugging for the camera, etc.

You have to realize that Bacall was another generation (or two) younger than most of the women who appeared in Roddy's home movies so I'm sure she was somewhat self-conscious of being filmed alongside of them without the benefit of Perc Westmore, Sydney Guilaroff and James Wong Howe's lighting.

They all look so happy with beautiful enchanted lives of wealth and privilege and comfort along with success. But what was taking place across town that same year of 1965 was truly ugly. With police brutality and the watts riots that same year. As well as the civil rights movement and Jim Crow laws. And the woman's liberation movement the JFK assassination along with MLK and Bobby's untimely death too etc etc. It really gose to show you just how fucked up the world and society was in those days. And just how crazy and busy the sixties we're. There truly were so many moving parts in the revolution era known as the 60s.

All of Roddy's home movies were shot in the summer of 1965. He rented the Maliby house that summer and had parties every weekend and invited everyone who was anyone.
Besides all of the hottest young stars, you'll see George Cukor, David O Selznick with wife Jennifer Jones, Merle Oberon, Cathleen Nesbitt, Ruth Gordon and Garson Kanin and Adolph Green and wife Phyllis Newman and co-librettist Betty Comden.

At the time of this movie Bacall was in a relationship with Robards - she was realizing how abusive he was. Since he is not present she was probably starved for positive attention. She was at the tale end of her awful marriage to Robards abusive violent drunk. She divorced Robards at age 45.
From age 45 -89 thats 44 years for those of you mathmatically challenged. She wasnt marrying again - and as for dating nada. 44 years Yeah I believe she was quietly hooked up on the DL. She was a raging Liberal and was seriously "WOKE" early on.

Bacall was minimally talented and benefited from the patronage of Howard Hawks and Bogart who are responsible for creating her career. How could she have missed with them running interference for her? The first film she did without Bogart was a stinking turkey.
She had an OK career, but DL sees her as much more important than she was.

Bacall had well-documented and long affairs with Len Cariou (her co-star in Applause), James Garner (her co-star in The Fan) and Harry Guardino (her co-star in Woman of the Year). IIRC she even talks about all 3 men in her bio. She was neither a lesbian nor a nun after her marriage to Robards dissolved.
Bacall never took her acting abilities seriously and was content to be Mrs. Bogart. She didn't like being under the influence of Hawks. Once she and Bogart had their two children, Bacall became even more interested in being a wife and mother and let her career slide. And Bogart became ill so that further derailed her interest in working. At heart, she was always just a smart middle-class Jewish girl from NYC.
She didn't really consider herself a true actress until Cactus Flower, a huge Broadway hit. And then Applause was an even bigger hit. She got her confidence on the Broadway stage, not in Hollywood.
As a poster stated above, she was most likely in LA filming Harper in the summer of 1965, starring Paul Newman and Robert Wagner, also among the McDowall invitees.

One really wonders how "out" the gay people were among their intimate friends at parties like this. Obviously, everyone knew Roddy and Rock and some others were gay but were they allowed to be true to themselves here or not?

[quote]Is there a lip reader in the house?
No, but at r51, Anthony Perkins clearly says "fuck you" twice, right to the camera. Roddy was probably egging him on with general gay bitchery and/or salaciousness.
Julie Andrews thanks her host as she gets ready to drive away, after spending a lovely afternoon facilitating naked videos of actress daughter Emma Walton.
Paul Newman looked pretty banged up at r13, with multiple facial lacerations and a burnt/heavily bandaged left hand. Does anyone know what happened to him in 1965? Fisting - s/m session gone amock?

R116 -
I was always surprised that the "Queen of Television" lived in a relatively modest house.
Maybe she was frugal. I know it was Beverly Hills, but still, you'd think she would want a gated, more secluded property. Christ knows she could afford it.

Lucy was cheap. I posted about her house on another thread.
| by Anonymous | reply 141 | August 18, 2017 4:00 PM |
R140 I think that was typical for that time in Hollywood. Mega mansions didn't become fashionable until much later.

Jane Fonda was, and to some extent remains, physically glorious but she was, and remains, a bit of a cipher. She gloms onto whatever beliefs made her look cool at the time, and often takes it too far.
Hence her ludicrous trip to North Vietnam while her country was (in all but name) at war with that country. Because it was so hip to be radical. "The establishment is plastic, man."
Then came her shameful cheerleading for Israel in the 1980s, because it was the thing to do, which morphed, hilariously, into protest against Israel in the 2000s, because, yes, it was the thing to do.
She is pretty though.

Yes, Lucy had Jimmy Stewart on one side and Jack Benny on the other. One of the nicest streets in Beverly Hills but her place looked like a middle-class frau fest.

My cousin knew Jason Robards in his later years after he got sober. He said he was a very complex guy, but very decent and fair-minded, who took responsibility for his bad behavior in his younger years. Although he said that Bacall was a nightmare bitch to live with, after the divorce they apparently maintained a friendship throughout his life. I get the impression he and Bacall were personalities that could bring out the worst in one another, but neither was entirely to blame for the mess. I'm sure he could be a miserable asshole before he started to get his act together in his 50s, and if he did, in fact, abuse her it's totally unconscionable.

Lee Remick is so gorgeous in these. her first husband Ben Colleran appears to grope her at one stage, no wonder she divoced him . Out of towners like Simone Signoret and James Fox, filming in hollywood then, got sunday invites too. Natalie and Jane Fonda kept themselves apart from being seen together, each being a total goddess. Of course now they would all be posting pictures of themselves online with their dear friends. The house looks quie modest, but would still have cost a lot, wonder what its like now.

Some of the women look very contemporary. Strange to think that Jane Fonda was at this time locked in a shifty marriage to that French director, she looks so carefree here Julie Andrews looks so happy. I love these movies, and saved this thread until I finally had a chance to watch all of them. OP, if you hate this, feel free to say so, since I'd never want to derail this thread, but I wanted to add an explanation about why California's beaches are so democratic (not political, in this sense).

Tuesday Weld is also in that last clip though Roddy never quite captures her full face. She sometimes has a towel wrapped around her head.
Natalie Wood in her straw jello mold hat has a kinda Liz Taylor thing going on here. 1965 was just about the last gasp of Nat's career trajectory. It was all down hill for her from here. I wonder if she felt that surrounded by all these new beauties?
The funny thing about Sal and his blonde friend is it looks like they're dressed for 2 different occasions, like the friend was just unexpectedly "picked up" along the way.
And yes, Chris Plummer's baby blue speedo, my my!!

In r196's video, poor Sal Mineo's boyfriend is overdressed for a beach party. And then at 0:32 when they show everyone sitting on the boardwalk, the poor guy is sitting there and nobody is talking to him. Sal should have at least told him to take off his shirt and just sunbathe in his undershirt. I feel sorry for the pretty boy, he seems out of place.

This isn't a plug because she doesn't need one, but Alison Martino (Al Martino's daughter) runs a great page on Facebook called Vintage Los Angeles. It is loaded with pictures and movies of old Hollywood. Alison is very into the area's conservation.
If you grew up in the southern California it will be extra-special, but either way it is fun to follow. And for bonus points, Alison lives in the same high-rise that Suzanne Pleshette lived in. Suzanne decorated the lobby, which the board is in the process of redoing- the morons. It is fabulous still- just needs to be refreshed.
Alison knows everyone worth knowing, and their kids, so check it out. Right know she is touring Europe for the movie she did about Jayne Mansfield with the partners that did Dear Mom, Love Cher so scroll back through old posts.

There are so many people in that clip at r213 I don't recognize, a mostly older crowd, lots of execs or maybe writers with their wives. It looks to be a cooler day, not a beach day so perhaps that's why there aren't any younger folks there except for Roddy's bf in the tan velour shirt, James Fox (was he gay?) and that annoying girl who keeps yammering on to Jason Robards. WTF is she?
George Cukor is the gent in the grey houndstooth jacket with pocket square talking to Jean Louis and his lovely wife.
Merle Oberon looks fresh from a recent facelift.

R227 Tab Hunter was a loner and his career was on it's downward trajectory at this point. I don't think he would have been part of the Hollywood Elite at this time. He did have a relationship with Tony Perkins but that was in the early 50's.

R156, Ben Gazzara, who played Brick opposite Barbara Bel Geddes' Maggie the Cat, flew to Hollywood to meet with the producers of the film version of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He thought it went well and was pretty confident that he got the part. He was crushed when he didn't get it. Perhaps Ben looked too Sicilian to play an All-American college football star from the South. He would also lose out to the blandly inferior Don Murray as Johnny Pope in A Hatful of Rain, another role Gazzara originated on Broadway. Had Ben been born a decade later, he would've fit right in with the Pacinos, DeNiros, and Cazales of the '70s.

Dominick Dunne really was at the epicenter of that time--long before he turned to writing in order to make a living.
The experience he lived through after his daughter's murder was largely the reason [italic]Vanity Fair[/italic] assigned him to high profile murder cases, including OJ and the Menendez brothers. When Leslie Abramson (Edie Falco played her in the movie) was unsuccessfully defending Erik Menendez, she came to loathe Dunne; she told the press: "He wants to be Truman Capote, but he has neither Truman's taste nor his talent."

[quote]Ben Gazzara, who played Brick opposite Barbara Bel Geddes' Maggie the Cat, flew to Hollywood to meet with the producers of the film version of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
I'm surprised they auditioned him. I'm sure they wanted an All-American pretty boy from the start.

Surely one of the reasons everyone is so relaxed as they are filmed by Roddy's camera is because they didn't anticipate the Internet and these home movies being watched and scrutinized by millions of people?
| by Anonymous | reply 242 | August 26, 2017 3:41 PM |
And Gazzara, though not Paul Newman, was a virile and talented young actor so MGM might have wanted a personal glimpse and audition tapes to consider him for other roles down the road.

Was Gazzarra screwing Elaine Stritch at the time? Maybe the studio didn't want her showing up on the set everyday.

Mr. Williams, I just had a few changes to the script that I think would help Ben's character. Right here, he should say, "Maggie, you've always been a cunt. Now pass me my fucking crutch so I can shove it up your twat".

I recognized George Cukor at :16 and not after that' Marion Marshall (blonde) with blue kerchief on her head; she was married to Wagner at the time, gave him his first daughter, Katie in '64. Marion, who's still living was a starlet at Fox. She was good friends with Marilyn Monroe. She was also married to Stanley Donen before Wagner. Marion played opposite Jerry Lewis in a handful of films as his love interest.

So many of these guys look far more desirable than today's stars probably in part because they're mysterious. The internet, Facebook and Twitter have forever ruined the allure of these stars from the 1960s.
We look at these movies and can identify the gays but I wonder if these guys were closeted to their straight friends. So many of them married women.

Susan Hayward, Rory Calhoun, David Wayne, Thelma Ritter and Robert Wagner, making his screen debut, were the stars of one of my favorite films Fox's With a Song in My Heart. How great to see them all casually together, I assume for publicity for the picture, at r263. If you've ever seen the film, you know that Wagner was absolutely unforgettable in his 2 short (and almost silent) appearances. Talk about a star is born....even if he ultimately didn't make good on his promise.
But what did Judy do with John Lund? I would have thought that this was during those few years between Summer Stock at MGM and A Star Is Born at Warners when she was on a hiatus from films.
Was this all filmed in the same parking lot?

[quote] Here is a lovely silent of the beautiful Garbo, bathed in wind. Subtitled in French, I invite translations.
"I noticed how whimsical she was. Explaining my feelings for Greta is impossible. I do not understand them myself. My mind perceives the true person : a Swedish servant, with a face touched by the finger of God, obsessed with money, her health, sex, food and sleep. But her image tricks my mind. I love her. But I love the person I created, not the person she actually is."
De Acosta was one of the few who knew Garbo for several decades. She had a relationship with Garbo for a time until she got dumped Garbo's style, for no reason nor explanation. She took many pics of a topless Garbo during their holidays. Garbo continued to treat her a like a dog and De Acosta until the end of her life loved her. Anybody interested in their story should read Loving Garbo, as well as Mercedes' memoires and yes watch that documentary.

Madeleine Carroll was terrific in Sweet Bird of Youth and Cat on A Hot Tin Roof (she played Newman's sister-in-law, mother of the "no neck monsters," as Elizabeth Taylor would describe it); but I'll admit when I was kid I thought she was the strangest looking human I'd ever seen. There was something almost scary about her.
Thankfully, the nun's habit and wimple covered a lot of that up.

I love these movies. Never get tired of them. Everyone is so pretty. Kind of sad to see them so blithe, and to know they're mostly dead. R53, Bacall was only 40 there, so was a contemporary of some of the guys--Hudson, Newman--but about 10 years older than a lot of the women. She is quite annoying with her mugging, but in the scheme of things, who cares. I love Janice Rule. She became a therapist.

I don't think the stars look unaffected and relaxed here. All the women are in full make-up and hair, and some point their toes (if they're seated) when the camera is on them. Natalie Wood, Lauren Bacall and Jane Fonda commence full on mugging when the camera is on them. If this were today, they'd be entertainment media there and the stars would be more relaxed on camera when the camera was on them specifically. I've noticed this in celebrity "home" movies (or off-set) from the 1930s to around the 1960s - all the stars mug when they see a camera. They curtsy, wink, stick out their tongue, roll their eyes, mug. Today they'd smile and acknowledge the camera but not go into a full song and dance routine. IMO Julie Andrews and Juliet Mills come off the most unaffected.
Roddy McDowell was everybody's best friend but I don't think they were all best friends with each other. I doubt his parties were THAT relaxing, but just a place to be seen, show off, be part of things, even though they might be jammed with your competition, somebody who was fucking your spouse or boyfriend, or had done. I don't think Hwood types relaxed around each other any more than they relaxed around the media.
| by Anonymous | reply 307 | August 27, 2017 12:08 AM |
Exactly. Parties populated by people who would give their back teeth (and some did) to be on camera, on stage, "the life" as it were, of the big party.

Tammy Grimes in pink bikini, white go go boots and beehive was definitely there to be seen. I think she was in L.A. for the Tammy Grimes Show, which was cancelled almost as soon as it aired. Although when you look back at photos of them when young, Plummer and Grimes resemble each other.

I think the reason Bacall and Wood (and Tony Perkins, too) seem so "on" and self-conscious is because they were intimate pals with Roddy and were more aware than the others that he was constantly filming them all for his private viewings.
They knew these films would ultimately have a large audience of his very gay pals who they didn't know. The others just thought the home movies were just that, an innocent lark.

That's not a mole on Dolores Del Rio's face but a large black polka dot on a barely perceptible veil on her hat that casts a shadow like a beauty spot on her face. In certain shots there seem to be two spots on her face which would be another shadow of the spot, from a second light source.
This was a brief fad in ladies' hats of the 1920s that didn't last long......for obvious reasons.
If you look at other photos of Del Rio, who was considered the most beautiful actress in silent films, you'll not see a mole.

I think Hope and so many of the younger women in these home movies look "modern" to us is because their makeup is minimal, their hair is relatively relaxed and undone and their clothes are very casual and informal.

Who was Cesar Romero's beard?
| by Anonymous | reply 357 | August 28, 2017 10:27 PM |
Tallulah, Gish, Katharine Cornell, Norma Shearer, Gloria Swanson...

That is Robert Stack.
Hedda must have been pissed that Louella wouldn't let her near Gable Jr.
I'm shocked there aren't more famous faces there.
Astaire? Jack Benny? Did they even work with Gable??

Marilyn arrives alone, imagine that.

I love this Lucy and Desi one. You can tell she is still clearly in love with him after all the intervening years. This one puts a lump in my throat.

I can't answer for Astaire, but Jack Benny is there for the complimentary buffet.

Spectacular, r358! And how nice to see all of Noel's Bright Young Things captioned with their names.
John"Jack" Wilson was quite a hottie.

Was the baptism held at Our Lady of the Cadillacs?
| by Anonymous | reply 364 | August 29, 2017 1:03 AM |
R321 most of the women in these home movies ARE wearing false eyelashes and make-up. They've certainly back combed their hair. Suzanne Pleshette didn't wake up with her hair that high and piled up. And look at how back combed Jane Fonda's is. I think everybody looks better because it's old kodachrome film, and because even the casual clothes back then were more universally flattering than today. Jax made those slacks that highlighted a woman's waist and ass, even the bikinis has a few darts and some structure. So the clothes fit. Today it's lycra everywhere, and I also think back then women knew what flattered them.
And everyone has some little scarf tied around their hair, which is piled up (Samantha Eggar). This was all put together in the mirror before they ever got out of the car at Roddy's.
I did notice that as pretty as she is, Tuesday Weld had some pretty short legs. I read up on her after watching the home movie. She was only 22 in 1965. She was making "Lord Love a Duck" with Roddy McDowall. She was so talented, even in all the teen sex-kitten roles she was playing then. Her mother was a piece of work - what a dysfunctional relationship. What female movie stars DIDN'T have smother mothers?

That baptism looked more like it was at Our Lady of the Used Car Lot.
You'll note Loretta Young did not attend.

I wanted to and we were headed there, but Julie Andrews swore her wagon ran out of gas.

Family friends in MA, where she lived in her youth, did major eye rolls about Tammy Grimes. She was perceived as laughably affected and superior in a way that wasn't considered charming in her personal life around town. These weren't highly conservative, bitchy, critical people by nature - someone had to stir them up to get that sort of reaction. Perhaps they didn't understand a true eccentric, or perhaps they were spot on. She was one of those actors who found a niche (stage was apparently her best venue) of some deserved success but was an odd and not beloved 'personality' during her career.

Interesting r369. I always assumed she was British for some reason. She sure was an acquired taste, that's for sure.

Aw, the Lucy / Desi footage does bring a lump to the throat. It's obvious she still loves him, and you can see the charming side of him that made her love him.
I have a soft spot for Desi Arnaz because he was a show business genius, the real mover behind Desilu. I also love him because Frank Sinatra was afraid of him, even though Arnaz doesn't seem to have been a douche (other than womanizing). I just think he has more cajones and didn't give any fucks about Sinatra while the other stooges who ran with Sinatra were scared.
Tammy Grimes and Christopher Plummer were long divorced when he filmed the Sound of Music. In fact he was married as second time and separated from THAT one. According to his autobiography, he and Grimes married when she became pregnant and her mother didn't want an unwed mother for a daughter, and he didn't mind, thought it might be a good experience. Their attempts at married life were fitful at best - don't think they ever even pretended to be faithful. He had a fling with Joan Greenwood when they were filming Stage Struck in New York (1958) while married to Grimes, and Grimes was touring and had her own stuff on the side. From Plummer she moved onto Rex Harrison (as an affair)

Agree completely about Lucy and Desi. And speaking of whom, Caesar Romero says that although Desi wasn't gay, he relented and let Caesar blow him--after much importuning from Caesar, who sure was a looker back in the day. Later on though, he had decidedly set up permanent camp in [italic]camp.[/italic]

I love how relaxed everyone is in those home movies. I think Julie Andrews and Jane Fonda are the only ones in them still living. I wonder if they have ever seen them?
| by Anonymous | reply 383 | August 4, 2019 7:51 PM |
They ARE relaxed, r383, and because we never see anything anymore that isn't pre-planned, scripted and story-boarded ahead of time, these are treasures with a fresh appeal. Unlike charmer r382.
| by Anonymous | reply 384 | August 4, 2019 7:58 PM |
R384. I agree. I also think about where each person was in their career. Julie Andrews in 1965 was riding a wave. She had just won the oscar for Mary Poppins and The Sound if Music had just been released. Jane Fonda on the other and was only being cast in fluff like Cat Ballou. She was also married to that creep Roger Vadim at this point. I expect she was already starving herself .

WHET that beach house? Would like to know the history of that place.
Dammit, Rodney, wake your lazy dead ass up and tell us.

R386, somebody upthread wrote that the beach house was washed away in a storm in the 80's: a fluke, a coincidence, an impossible tragedy. No one could have seen this coming. Right, Jill? Chris? Somebody?

When are we going to see Roddy's diaries!?
| by Anonymous | reply 389 | August 4, 2019 11:11 PM |
Roddie rented the house for 3 months in the summer. It had a great beach and was a typical malibu house at the time. It was before the era of teardowns and 7000 sq ft being built on 4o ft wide lots. Rock hudson rented a house in malibu in the late 50 s right after splitting from Phyllis. In typical rock fashion it was right in the middle of gay will rogers beach. At the time of filming in 1965 he was already living in the BH house. His furniture was massive because that was what he liked and some of it came from the set of pillow talk. I found it interesting the camera following Cukor out to his rolls royce parked on PCH.......U dont know who the lady he was with was.......obviously a former film star, deloros del rio or somebody similiar. The footage was fasciniating and Roddy did a big favor by keeping this for history. Roddy s boyfriend of the time was probably the best looking guy of the bunch, film stars included.

Kirk Douglas has chicken legs and he's quite fem in that clip.

R389 I think I read somewhere that he wanted to release the truth on Hollywood a hundred years after his death because by then everyone who was around back then would be gone and also it would be a courteous act to the old Stars and their families to wait after they're dead. But I think it's kind of stupid because nobody is going to be interested in old Hollywood gossip in a hundred years from now. The youth of today are generally disinterested in old Hollywood stuff, it's mostly just older people that are still attentive and I'm guessing by then they won't be around too.
