Candace Owens allegedly replacing Meghan on The View?

From the article in the OP:

[quote] So, is it true Owens is being considered to replace McCain on The View? We seriously doubt it. Gossip Cop recently debunked this rumor when Owens’ name was first being thrown around along with other Republican women. TMZ, far more reputable than any tabloid, has confirmed that ABC is searching for a Republican host to fill McCain’s spot, but they are in no rush to do so. In fact, it’s been reported that the network plans to try out multiple different guest hosts to see who has the best chemistry with the current co-hosts.

This tracks with the show's history. The View most often has done live auditions with rotating guest hosts, ultimately hiring one. Which is wise because when they hire without auditioning (Raven-Symoné, Paula Faris, et al.), the cohosts often flop.

Also, Meghan got the ax as soon as ABC News got a new president. It was reported several times throughout her time on The View that she was protected from on high because the recently fired ABC News president loved her and was a John McCain fanatic. ABC News's new president came in a few months ago and within a couple of months, Meghan decided to leave to spend more time with her fat Nazi husband and her beloved Liberty. (Justice for all!)

So I doubt that the current ABC News president would be stupid enough to allow Candace Owens onto the show while it is part of the ABC News network. It seems he was embarrassed about McCain and may have felt she damaged the network's credibility. (He should have felt that way.)

And Owens is no less credible; she is neither a journalist nor a credentialed politico, and she doesn't even have a college degree.

She holds a super-minority opinion as a black racist, and what ABC will want is a GOP spokesperson/propgandist, not a super-polarizing personality. Meghan was there to speak on behalf of the Republican party, as Joy is there to speak on behalf of the Democratic party and Sunny is now a BLM spokesperson. Remember that although the audience liked her, The View fired Jedediah Bila because she was libertarian and argued against some GOP talking points instead of defending them, and because she spoke out of turn and asked Hillary Clinton a question that her team had not pre-approved.

Candace Owens is an extremist, which may or may not be desirable to some ratings-hungry producers at The View, but most importantly her MO is not rattling off positions prescribed by the Grand Old Party, which Meghan did dutifully even when they fully contradicted personal opinions she has expressed prior to her time on the show.
