I started taking this orange Metamucil because I’m having hemorrhoids bad and I really want to bottom.
The thing is, since taking it, I’ve been seeing a tiny orange poop (or is it the Metamucil itself not digesting?) in my toilet that looks similar to the clumps I get in my glass of water when mixing the Metamucil.
I’m frustrated because my poop still doesn’t look “normal”. It can be weirdly shaped and all broken up and doesn’t look like a proper log. And I still get balls of poop like I’m constipated.

If you have hemorrhoids you shouldn't bottom. Period (so to speak).

Ask your doctor for recommendations. There are better products to help you with your problem. I wouldn't give Metamucil to my neighbors dog - who I hate with a passion!

If you want a “proper log”, get more insoluble fiber. Raisin Bran works for me.

If it is clumping in the drink you can see it in your excrement. It is an indigestible fiber. Your poop should be S-shaped and have the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. If it is hard and straight you are taking too much fiber. If your goal is to bottom try Pure which was made for just such a role.
