she was starring in the 1981 Endless Love movie and this was the title track. Uh, she was only 16 years old...who the hell thought it was a good idea for her to sing a love song with a 32 year old man? Brooke says Diana heard the song and wanted to sing it, so that's what happened. Thank goodness as she is closer in age to Lionel (she was 37). Hollywood is so messed up.

Didn't she star in the movie? What does it matter how old singers are?

R1 a love song between a 16 year old and 32 year old? that's not weird to you? Why couldn't they have found a younger guy to sing with Brooke if that's what they wanted?

Remember the Sinatra duet albums from the early 90s? The age difference between Sinatra and his male/female duet partners was scandalous I tell ya

Hon,in the 70s and 80s nobody would have cared if a 16 year old and a 32 year old were dating. This was a time when Roman Polanski and Nastassja Kinski were a couple.

What raised my eyebrow was him singing "Something Stupid" -- I love duet -- with his daughter. It was so Donald Trump.

I have never for one moment considered how old the singers were of this song. It's actually a stupid song that has nothing to do with the storyline.

Brooke was only asked after Linda Lavin turned them down.

Actually, Lucy was supposed to sing it, but Gary Morton made her turn it down.

Brooke could write one hell of a memoir of the 70s 80s and 90s

She's lying, there is absolutely NO WAY Diana Ross would push her way into a project.

OP I watched your video. I never realized Van Jones was one of us. He pings pretty loud.
Now back to Brooke. Link at R16 is horrible. She should not sing in any venue other than a karaoke pub.

She did well here, teaming up with Marie Osmond and the 80s equivalent of auto-tune.
