Been watching this show on Tubi, mostly for nostalgia as background when I’m cleaning the house. It’s very comforting and takes me right back to grade school.
Although I like the character of Abby Bradford, she comes across as so clinical with both her husband Tom and the Bradford children when they come to her with their problems.
Still, I do enjoy this ancient show, and some episodes continue to hold up well (others not so much). It’s fun for what it is, and it ran during a special time in my life.

My first glimpse of Grant Goodeve clarified a few things for me.
No idea if Grant had "eight," but he was enough for sure!

Betty Buckley... Betty Buckley... now where have I heard about her before?
Oh Datalounge Theater Queens, would you please help out here? I just know it had to do with the legitimate theater. TIA!

Love Betty but warm and motherly she ain't. Her Abby was always a little remote and chilly.

No one can say I wasn't warm and motherly!
