Best true crime podcasts?

Mine are the Mandy Matney Murdaugh Murders, and The Murder Sheet.

Check out the Murder Sheet regarding the Idaho murders. They’re FANTASTIC and spell out the FACTS in a way us non lawyers, lay people may easily understand.

What are yours? And why?

DNA:ID is the only one I like.

No showboating from the host, straightforward recounting of facts, always interesting and always provides a satisfying conclusion.

For those that don’t know, it covers cases - many of which are very cold and very old - that have recently been solved with ancestry DNA.

Sometimes the perpetrators are dead, sometimes they are still alive to face justice.

A brilliant podcast IMO.

I've listened to it OP. Its a real Southern Gothic nightmare come to life. Pa Murdaugh was in deep shit, and had no problem offing the wife and son. She was gonna divorce him and his psycho son was responsible for killing the girl Mallory when he crashed the boat. When Grandpa Murdaugh was dying he probably approved the plan. There's probably so many secrets that he was trying to suppress, that he couldn't get a handle on it anymore. He probably had something to do with Stevens death and the housekeeper too. Just sick, sick people. In the recording of the aftermath of the boat crash, when Mallory s boyfriend Conner was screaming at Paul M, that Mallory was missing and that punk was laughing, tells you what kind of people the Murdaughs were. I can't comprehend people like that.

Morbid because I like the hosts and think they make the cases even more interesting.

I like Mr. Ballen, though his podcasts are only on Amazon now. He also produces YouTube stuff twice a week.

R2, I am currently watching the Netflix series on Bernie Madoff.

It’s chilling how much Murdaugh & Madoff have in common.

While Madoff didn’t blow out the brains of his wife & son, hundreds of lives were ruined, & his son, along with an investor, both committed suicide, as a direct result of Madoff’s crimes.

All this stuff is for people who can't read?

No, R7.

It’s stuff to listen to while you do chores and laundry.
