Like Menudo, who also were used and abused. BCR were marginally talented. I never understood their appeal, but back then, but any cute, non-threatening guys who got on the cover of Tiger Beat could become teen idols.

Being a member of the female pop band The Runaways in the same decade was equally harrowing. I like the BCR, especially Rock and Roll Love Letter. I followed Les on Facebook, where he frequently broadcast live. I’m glad I, along with the other fans, we’re able to express our affection for him.
