His overall health was already horrible pre-infection. Just a few months ago he escaped from rehab and had to be returned to it. The year prior, he had to submit to multiple daily drug tests to make the latest "Jackass" film, and was fired when he couldn't stay clean.

I heard a woman call in to a radio show this week, she said she and five of her 70-something friends all got covid, and it was no big deal. But they all developed pneumonia as a complication, and it almost killed them.

Yeah, it's back with a vengeance and nobody is talking about it. Also the flu seems particularly awful this year

I'm apparently getting very old.
I have no idea who the fuck these people - often the subject of DL threads - are.
I googled him. I still don't know why anyone is concerned about him enough to start a thread about him, whether he has COVID or whether he can't control his demons.
Now, get off my lawn.

Obese smoker over 40 is the COVID trifecta. Respirator is basically a given, especially if he’s not vaccinated.

As the holidays near and health care facilities grapple with a "tripledemic" of viral respiratory infections, people are being urged to consider donning masks and calling out sick.
“Help protect the ones you love the most, which include the oldest and the youngest in our community,” said Keri Althoff, associate professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. “Consider masking, spacing and increasing hand washing, particularly when you’re in indoor public spaces.”

I’m back to wearing a mask while working.
I just got over my 1st infection. It wasn’t the worst illness I’ve had, but I couldn’t return to work until I tested negative.
I was infected by a coworker. The coworker infected 5 different people in the office, because they continued to show up to work, regardless of all of the coughing and sneezing they were doing in the office. This coworker also refuses to wear a mask, and I’m pretty sure more infections will be showing up in the upcoming months.
One coworker told me that they were infected 4 times. Still refuses to get vaxxed. I just don’t get it. Good luck to this Bam dude. Once they pull the ventilator out, things are BAD.

I’m 4X vaxxed and flu shot - still got sick. I’m so sick of getting sick. Despite the vax, this is my third time with Covid, never hospitalized but annoying. The viruses going around are crazy - but everyone is just sick and tired of hibernating.

R18 A new employee at my office came in one day coughing like they were going to barf up a lung. I left the office at lunchtime and worked the rest for the week from home. Half the office staff ended up with COVID from him. The company went from having very strict COVID protocols to not giving a shit whatsoever.

During 2020 and 2021 it seemed I was continually running into local news stories about people who’d recovered from Covid one or twice getting it again and finding themselves hospitalized in critical condition. That’s such an old story now they’re probably not covering it anymore.

I’m 5x vaxxed & caught Covid for the first time last month; 103 fever for two full days, while I was maxed out on Tylenol, & it turned into a sinus infection.
It’s no joke any way you cut it. I don’t get the anti-vaxxers. Long Covid sounds really scary.
| by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 10, 2022 7:44 AM |
I am 5x vaxxed too and had it about 6 weeks ago. I was sick as a dog for a few days. I am back to wearing masks all the time.

Some of these anti vax people are insane There's a family whining to the media that duke won't provide life saving surgery on their 14 year old daughter because she isn't vaxxed. They could easily solve this by getting her the vaccine but they would rather stick to their principles. Sick fucks.
| by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 10, 2022 8:02 AM |
Yeah, a lot of anti-vax people are crazy on principle.
But all the people on this thread talking about catching Covid after getting five (?!?!??) jabs aren’t really speaking to the effectiveness of these specific vaccines.
| by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 10, 2022 11:01 AM |
I’ve had 3 boosters and the flu shot. I’ve had covid twice. First time was hell. I firmly believe the vaccines and boosters help greatly lessen duration and strength. My second bout with covid was a mild cough. I’ve had a shitty immune system my whole life and always had tonsillitis or bronchitis. My grandfather died from pneumonia, and so did my uncle. I ain’t taking any chances. The least people could do is mask up, and not listen to the idiots saying this surge in illness is from two years of masking ruining our immunity. I want to shoot people who say that. Masking is the least you could do, and it won’t kill you.
| by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 10, 2022 11:15 AM |
People are such morons. You can't have immunity to something you've never been exposed to.* That's why white invasions killed so many indigenous peoples around the world from new diseases.
The whole point of a vaccine is to give your immune system something to work with if you do get Covid.
* I know a very small number of people are always found to be resistant to individual diseases. But those people are so vanishingly rare they are usually asked to participate in medical studies to see if they can help the vast majority. Consider, for example, how many people you know who have never had the common cold in their lives.
| by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 10, 2022 12:39 PM |
[quote]I know a very small number of people are always found to be resistant to individual diseases.
The Seattle Times (non-linkable) has a story on a guy that's described as immune to covid -- though he had it, he just didn't know it, so I don't know how that's considered "immune." Plenty of people have had it and didn't know it.
Tests indicate that even if his blood were diluted 10,000 times, it still kills 90% of the coronavirus.
No one knows exactly why.
Reports worldwide suggest scientists have identified just a handful of people with immunity similar to his.
| by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 10, 2022 12:59 PM |
Being properly vaccinated will reduce your likelihood of significant COVID symptoms.
| by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 10, 2022 1:25 PM |
Exactly, R45. It was the same with people who had HIV but it never converted to AIDS. A tiny number worldwide.
| by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 10, 2022 1:36 PM |
R44 Ive often wondered if I had a natural immunity to aids. I never used a condom, slept with countless men, many very much in the "danger" zone ,yet I escaped with 1 case of syphilis and 1 case of gonorrhea . I had a friend who slept with 3 different guys only (still cant wrap my head around that !) and he got aids and eventually died. Even my doctors at various times just dont understand how I escaped unscathed.

Lives/d near me - as well as his whole family. They own the tea shop and other real estate in town that he/they bought with the Jackass money. Sad but not someone who is going to get fixed. My guess is mental illness in the family genes - that crazy Italian gene. Another example of the horrors of fame. But also the absence of prefrontal cortex self control.

I loved the Dickhouse crew because of how gay friendly they were and their lack of inhibition towards getting naked and showing male to male affection. Bam is bipolar I believe, he's been a hot mess for years now and he's bitter Johnny K cut ties with him. I'm shocked he's still even alive. He is up there in batshit insanity with Aaron Carter. I had to stop following his IG.

R55 Dickhouse is the name of Knoxville's production company, they were making fun of Tony Hawk's birdhouse. They all are always getting naked (Chris Pontius, Steve-O, etc) and they do pretty gayish stuff some times, they aren't homo phobes so have no fear of being naked together or dressing in certain ways.
