Good one.

When Belle from Alice went from stylish long to old lady coiffed after like two episodes.

Weezy when she went to the earthy down home bun to the coiffed "he'p center" socialite.

Why limit ourselves to sitcoms? Think how much more traction this thread could get if we could talk about Dallas and Dynasty.

Joanie's hair didn't exactly scream '50s/'60s, so it looks extra weird next to her best friend Jenny Piccolo's authentic flip.

Calista Flockhart had nice thick hair in the Ally McBeal pilot with a fringe that made her look very pretty. By episode 2 she had chopped it short and made her look washed out.

Mary Tyler Moore's "hair" was mostly wigs.

Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfuss) of "Seinfeld." Took a good-looking woman and gave her the most fugly hairstyle that wasn't even popular in the 90s. Maybe it was popular in the Gibson Girl era, which was a bad time for women's hair styles.

[quote]Why limit ourselves to sitcoms?

Because sitcoms generally maintain the status quo where dramas and hour shows change more often
