Unlike you, when it comes to Jolie as a person, I have no investment, in hating, loving, or being indifferent to Jolie.
I do admire, and have for a long time, how she manages her image and stardom.
Whether I'm grossed out (I'm not) or adore her every move (I don't) is beside the point.
And yes, she still has publicity and stardom game. I didn't think I had to point out the obvious, but, here it is: One of the factors proving she does is this thread is at 176 or so replies.
You're posting. Why not ignore her and this thread? Because you don't want to ignore it.
So, do you have her? Or, does she have you? Obviously, it's the latter. I can't imagine the real estate in her head even notes the mere ramblings of a couple of DLers.
And since you've misread my post at r170, I'll correct you. It's true, I'm old.
But, I've loved celebrity culture way before I've been a DLer, not because I'm a Dler. It goes back to the 60s and 70s when my best friend's Mom used to buy "Photoplay" magazine and the National Enquirer.
As for Wilde, I'll never know, and neither will you, but I think he'd get a kick out of still being talked about, in whatever capacity, decades and decades after his death.
It's the purest manifestation of his point.
