American Horror Story: New York City

Isaac Powell is so beautiful. Sigh. I wonder what it's like to walk through life like him?

Incidentally, I also have a bit of a thing for the guy who plays Klaus Nomi's friend (the one briefly arrested). Looked him up, his name is Hale Appleman and he was in Teeth, which I watched just the other night.

The difference between the two is I feel that Appleman would be attainable, Powell, not so much for me, haha.

[quote]I’m loving this. My return watching season 11 but why oh why are the ratings so low this time when it’s much better than the past several?

Completely agree. Looking around online, the responses from those not enjoying it often fall under these categories:

- It's not like previous seasons of AHS. We want Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, etc. back. The tone and pacing are different and it's not campy/bloody enough.

- It's too triggering to watch gay men suffering.

- Too many white people (seriously, some are saying this).

For me, if he is to make a show about this dark time in gay men's lives, then I'm glad he is reigning in the camp and taking it a bit more seriously.

Maybe the people above, in general, would've responded better if it hadn't been released under the AHS franchise? Although I'm not sure how it would look then. It's based in reality but not using real people at the same time, so it's not like his other shows in that regard. Honestly, if he did it separately from the franchise, he probably would've just done a complete remake of Cruising.

As for me - I'm really enjoying it, and stoked we are now 4 episodes in and still going strong. I gave up on Murder House after 3 episodes, 1984 lost the plot by the second episode and Hotel was a mess from the beginning (in my opinion). So to get to episode 4 and still be looking forward to next week is a big thing!
