Fassbender and Hammer did work together a couple of years ago on Fassbender's upcoming soccer movie Next Goal Wins -- Armie filmed the entire thing, there were photos of them all hanging out during the shooting. Armie's role got re-shot after the scandal which is part of why the movie has been delayed for so long.
